Gypsy chic: Emily Ratajkowski in a vintage Versace dress at the Met Gala 2022
She did it again and was unique! But, of course, we are speaking about the young mother, Emily Ratajkowski, who knows a lot about semi-nude outfits, and especially shining jewelry. The supermodel appeared among the guests of the annual Met Gala 2022 and made a splash in another breathtaking image. This time, the author of the book “My Body” rethought the theme of gilded glamor and chose a vintage combination from Versace, embroidered with large beads and gems in the spirit of the gypsy style.
An unusual dress that any magpie would envy was first presented in the spring-summer collection of Atelier Versace in 1992, and initially, supermodel Yasmine Gauri walked the catwalk in it. It’s hard not to agree that Emily has become the personification of a new era. Her burning beauty was perfectly complemented by a dress consisting of a playful semi-nude top wrapped around her neck and a voluminous silk skirt with an accent train at the back. The look was completed with multi-colored drop earrings and classic gold sandals to balance out its characteristic sophistication. Like Gauri in the 90s, Ratajkowski opted for a similar hairstyle that framed her bright features.
Of course, the outfit was in many ways a tribute and gift to Donatella Versace, as the event fell on the fashion icon’s birthday. “Happy birthday, queen, it’s an honor to know you,” Emily wrote on her social media.
The dress principle for this year’s event is Guilded Glamor, which is similar to the theme “In America: An Anthology of Fashion, a continuation of the 2021 Met Gala Theme: In America: A Dictionary of Fashion.
